Zilla Leutenegger is one of the most successful Swiss artists. In early summer 2021, the Bündner Kunstmuseum Chur dedicated a retrospective to her. For three years, filmmaker Iwan Schumacher accompanied the artist with his camera. The film focuses on the creation of three artworks in the exhibition. These works form the starting points for an exploration of the life and work of Zilla Leutenegger.
Der Regisseur Iwan Schumacher verzichtet auf das Pathos vieler Künstlerfilme und setzt auf leise Töne. Er beobachtet die Künstlerin bei der Arbeit und beim Gespräch mit anderen. Wir sehen Zilla Leutenegger strahlend vor Freude über Drucke, die in der Druckerei gerade fertig werden. So nahe kommt man Künstlerinnen und Künstlern nur selten.
